Finally, a free time to come back and work on the very near end of my Wanted Poster series. This is the 5th.

I saw Pirates of Caribbean a few days ago and had this idea. I couldn't help to think about the same elements bad cowboys and bad pirates has in common, like I say on the poster: Hats, Weird beards and veeeery ugly faces. So, the idea of a different poster seemed quite good to me. It could be different, it could be fun, it could be original, it's just a personal work, so why not trying to make it? The best ideas come like this, when you're not thinking about them. I drew lots of cowboys for this series and was a really hard time to choose the ones I worked on the previous posters, but it seemed a really good idea to draw a funny pirate and make a poster where I could work on the words and on the idea more than on the image, in order to explain the joke. The first poster was something new, but the other three were, in part, a game of reproduction: they followed a style and didn't have a real innovation, just followed the recipe. My challenge, here, was to give this poster the same face the others had, but with a whole different element. I think I just played good on it, and it has the same general feeling of the others, instead of working with this different element. Well, that's just my opinion. :-D
