Steampunk Megaman!!!!

Hey guys!!!

I recently joined a competition promoted by Game Artisans , the Comicon Challenge. The guideline of the comp was simple: make a redesign of any action-based character (super hero or super villain) in a different era. I chose megaman. First, coz the little blue guy is super cool!!! Second, I simply LOVE Capcom! Make my own vision of one of Capcom's characters is always a must. And third, There was lots of known characters like Batman, Spider Man, Superman, etc. But no Megaman. Also, I chose Steampunk era, because I think it fits Megaman perfectly... The perfect place for a Pinocchio-like Fighting Robot living his struggle against the super megalomaniac mad scientist that wants to rule the world. Resuming: super cool stuff!!!!

We worked over 5 weeks on the development of the character. I tried some different designs for him and reworked over some of them till get to the final one. Besides the final shot, we had to submit model sheet and workflow in order to make easier to everybody to follow the process. You can see my thread at Game Artisans here .
